What we do

01

Brochure and corporate websites

Static pages generated at build time and served from a CDN: near-instant loading, no server to maintain, hosting at marginal cost.

02

Multilingual and SEO

i18n routing, hreflang, sitemap, structured data, optimised images: Astro provides the foundations, we configure them properly for each market.

03

Migration from WordPress or Wix

Content taken over, 301 redirects, rankings preserved. You gain speed and security, and lose the plugin update chores.

04

Content managed without a developer

Markdown content collections or a headless CMS (Sanity, Strapi, Decap) wired to Astro: you publish, the site rebuilds itself.

Why Astro is fast by design

Most frameworks ship the browser all the JavaScript needed to rebuild the page. Astro does the opposite: it generates the final HTML at build time and only sends JavaScript for components that genuinely need it, the ones you explicitly mark as interactive. The result: pages that weigh a few dozen kilobytes, a Largest Contentful Paint under one second, and green Core Web Vitals without acrobatic optimisation.

What we deliver on an Astro project

A typed content architecture (every page has a schema, the build fails when a field is missing), i18n if you sell internationally, complete technical SEO (tags, sitemap, hreflang, structured data, Open Graph), an automatic deployment pipeline, and documentation so your team can publish without us. We can then provide maintenance if you wish.

Why ELDEV
Astro

We have run Astro in production since its first stable release and know its limits as well as its strengths. For a content site there is nothing better in 2026: native performance, security (no exposed database), negligible hosting cost, and the option of a React or Vue island wherever real interaction is needed. You get a readable Git repository, documentation, and a site that will still be fast in five years.

Frequently asked questions

Astro or Next.js for my website?
If your site is mostly content (pages, articles, listings), Astro: faster, simpler, cheaper to host. If it is an application with lots of state, forms and user data, Next.js. Many projects combine both: an Astro site and a separate application.
Can I edit the content myself?
Yes. Depending on your comfort level, either Markdown files in the repository (with an online editor such as Decap) or a headless CMS with a proper admin interface. Either way, every publish rebuilds and deploys the site automatically. If your team is used to a familiar back-office, WordPress can also serve as the headless CMS behind Astro.
How much does an Astro website cost?
A 5 to 10 page brochure site is quoted after a free scoping call, depending on design, number of languages and the chosen CMS. Describe your project, reply within 12 hours.
What hosting does an Astro site need?
A static Astro site runs anywhere: Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Vercel, or plain shared hosting like this very site. No Node server is required unless you enable on-demand rendering. Either way, we can handle the hosting setup for you.

A project, an outage, a question?

Describe your need in a few lines. Free scoping, reply within 12 business hours, and a single point of contact from the first exchange to launch.
